Business Description

CC4C operates to help families navigate and surmount medical, financial, social, and emotional challenges faced while living with rare and undiagnosed diseases. Our goal is to provide long-term, relational support services to the family through childhood (ages 0-18). Services are provided through four programs. These programs are: Financial Medical Assistance Program: Families in Texas can receive financial reimbursement of qualified medical receipts to lighten the burden of financial strain associated with caring for a child with rare or undiagnosed conditions. Family Well-being Program: Provides specialized, long-term social and emotional support to the whole family and each member of the family. Services include a monthly peer support gathering for mothers, a quarterly peer support gathering for fathers, special days just for siblings, multiple family fun days to connect with other rare families, individualized community resource referrals, phone call check-ins, weekly family newsletters and an online private Facebook community. Dream Team Program: CC4C partners with community groups to match a child with the group for 2 years to be an honorary member of the group. Groups include the child in events. Current volunteer groups include High School sports, music and dance teams, local nonprofits and businesses. Since doctor visits, therapies and medical issues dominate day to day life, Dream Teams help the entire family feel joy, love and a pause from the medical aspects of living with a rare disease. Uplifting Trips Program: CC4C provides two annual, all expense paid group trips to the National Ability Center in Park City, Utah for adaptive ski and summer activity adventures.
